Industrial Applications - LED
The light bulb used to be the symbol of innovation but now its days are numbered. Be it architectural lighting, mobile phones or toys: LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are becoming increasingly common. In most new cars there are only LEDs in the rear light area, in higher class cars even the headlights have been converted to High-Brightness LEDs with higher light output at less power consumption.
Not many people think about this new product – it’s unspectacular and can be purchased everywhere by now. VERMES has specialized on the LED manufacturing process five years ago with its microdispenser family MDS 3000. Today it’s the provider with the highest adaption rate in filled and unfilled silicon grouting.
The system family MDS 3000’s electronically precise adjustable “media compatibility” allows for throughput rates in the backend process so far unheard of, the least binning (small colour distribution) and the highest degree of automation. One important factor – especially at respectable phosphor levels – is the possibility for the operator to change the plunger and the jet cartridges on-site. This saves a lot of time and money.
The dispensing systems can be integrated in existing manufacturing environments thanks to the open interface concept.
The LED manufacturing mass market is certainly in Asia. That’s why most grouting installations are found in Southeast Asia, China, Korea, the Philippines and Japan.
Despite this success, VERMES intends to live up to its leading position also in the future by further developing its valve techniques. Because of this, LED application know-how is a core area of our research and development.
